VAIN Winter Coat Drive
We're having a coat drive! From now through Nov. 7, you can drop off clean, gently used (or new!) winter coats for men, women, and children at any VAIN location or at the Sweet Spot in Fremont.
As temperatures drop, your friends at VAIN and the Sweet Spot Sugaring Studio are teaming up to hold a coat drive.
From now through November 7th, you can drop off clean, gently used (or new!) winter coats for men, women, and children at any VAIN location -- downtown, Ballard, or West Seattle -- or at the Sweet Spot Sugaring Studio at 3507 Evanston Ave. N in Fremont.
Each coat donated will receive one raffle ticket (limited to 10 per person) for a chance to win prizes from VAIN and other local sponsors and businesses, including:

We'll announce the raffle winners in mid-November, so stay tuned!
Donations will benefit The International Rescue Committee, a nonprofit that provides aid to refugees and other survivors of humanitarian crises, and The Jubilee Women's Center, a Seattle-based nonprofit that serves nearly 1,500 impoverished women by providing safe, affordable community housing, educational resources, job skills and training, and free clothing.
So clean out that coat closet and help people in need stay warm this winter. Thanks in advance for your support!

Seattle Made Week highlights the local makers and do'ers within our community and runs Saturday, September 19th to Saturday, September 26th, so be on the lookout for pop-up shops, Meet the Maker Events, and local goods and services in your favorite Seattle neighborhoods.
By supporting Seattle Made Week, you're also supporting a diverse local ecosystem of manufacturers and producers who strengthen our economy, employ Seattle residents, and help make the Seattle community unique. Superstar stylist and dread master Siddal will be at VAIN Downtown Friday, September 25th from 5 p.m.- 8p.m. for our very own, in-house Meet the Maker event. When she's not at VAIN, Siddal teaches at the Seattle Art Museum and the Kirkland Arts Center and makes pieces for her jewelry line Coventry by Siddal, which is for sale at our Downtown and West Seattle boutiques. Stop in, check out Siddal's work, and talk with her about supporting local art.

Our beloved DIY product mogul, hair tutorial expert, Free Your Pits Co-Founder, and all around badass stylist Roxie Hunt will feature her handmade ShamPhree & Free Your Hair products from How-To Hair Girl at all three VAIN locations during Seattle Made Week.
