What’s your approach with new clients?
I listen to their ideas and give them input on how I think that will work with their hair texture and facial shape. I don’t go too bold straight off. Unless they really want something drastic, I want know them and their style first.

Do you have any particular focus in hair right now?
Right now I’m into “done” styles- hair that’s looks styled, not messy, and is still easy to maintain at home. I think people want to start doing their hair again! I'm also starting to see some 40's era influences in hair and fashion. I think that's next.

How about color?
I’m seeing a lot of lighter colors, more highlights, and corrective color / removing dark color. The placement of highlights is also changing- Underneath highlights roots don’t show as fast; underneath hair

What do you like about working at VAIN?
I like who I work with and what VAIN stands for, the involvement with the community, and participating in a lot of things that I otherwise wouldn’t get a chance to be a part of.
