What got you into doing hair?
I started doing my friends' hair in in high school- at school. Plus I would do something different to my hair every three months. That part hasn't changed.
What are your personal style influences?
Music, 70s rock, Guns n' Roses. Keith Richards- he has that gypsy rock n' roll thing about him. He could put anything he wanted on, stick his hair up, and he would look good. My friends are big style inspirations to me, too. They're all unique people.
What's your take on switching up your look?
The whole point of getting your hair cut or colored is to change your look, whether it's in a small or big way. It adds personality. Small change is good but the big ones are more fun.
What would a new client be surprised to know about you as a hairstylist?
That I like bobs, too. It doesn't all have to be spikey rock hair.
What do you like about being a stylist?
Being able to create something, seeing the transformation from before to after. Hair is so important and I like helping people express their style.
