I like to simplify, creating cuts that are effortless to style. Very natural!
What do you love about your clientele?
They’re so diverse! Many of my clients either live or travel abroad; it’s a very international group. It generates a lot of interesting conversation about how people end up in the U.S. or in Seattle specifically. There are always good stories to hear and to tell.
You specialize in texture perms; how is this different from a traditional perm?
Texture perms aren’t going to be the tight curls many people envision when talking about perms. They create a nice wave and give body to those with thick, stick-straight hair.
How do you cultivate your own personal style?
I’m always watching people as I walk around downtown. The person next to you in line at the coffee shop might be the one who inspires you. I look for ideas all the time, where ever I go. And, any time I have friends visiting other countries I ask them to bring home some recent fashion magazines. I like to have as many viewpoints as possible.
