What do you love about doing hair and why?
I love helping clients overcome their hair challenges. Whether it’s creating volume, removing weight, or conquering cowlicks, I love working with my clients to create an easy to maintain style that's wearable but also customized to fit their personality and style.

I love creating a custom cut for each client who sits in my chair and aim to find ways to let their natural textures come alive. A lot of clients want a cut and style that looks amazing but is also relatively effortless to do at home everyday. That's my goal—using techniques to shape hair and find the best approach for each person in order to create a stunning look that doesn't require a ton of maintenance but offers a lot of versatility. If you want a cut, style, and/or color that's always gorgeous and low-maintenance, I'm your stylist.

What are a few of your specialties?
+ Wavy to curly hair – tailored looks custom-designed to suit each person’s individual curl patterns, hair texture, and face shape. I love showing clients how to style their hair in order to bring out its hidden potential.

+ Bangs – I love, love, LOVE bangs! Even a simple change can make all the difference.

+ Veggie dye – fun, creative, beautiful, bold colors

+ Balayage / ombre (with consultation) – everything from subtle and sun-kissed to dramatic and edgy.

What inspired you to become a hairstylist?
My love for hair began when I was about nine years old. My family had a regular “beauty day” at my grandma’s when we would cut, color, and perm each other’s hair. My mom had a true DIY beauty ethic and helped inspire the same in me. I always looked forward to our beauty days as a kid and then, as I got older, I went on to cut and color my own hair as well as my friends'.

What's your approach with new clients?
Communication is key. I focus on asking good questions to bring out what it is the client is looking for and then work with them to formulate a plan to achieve that vision. I always start by taking a close look at their hair—its texture, its density, the patterns it naturally falls into. From there, I talk with my client about the style that they have in mind, what they like and dislike about their hair, what’s worked in the past and what hasn’t. My goal is always to have my clients leave my chair with their expectations exceeded.
