What do you love about doing hair and why?
You can totally change someone’s life by giving them good hair. I love creating styles that complements my clients’ features. I especially love working with clients who embrace their natural texture.
What's your approach with new clients?
First and foremost, I like to get to know them. I want to know all about their hair and their lifestyle. What are they looking for? What do they like about their hair now? What do they wish they could change? Learning those details helps me work with my clients to create a style that’s just right for them.
What's the best hair advice you've ever been given?
The hair you don’t cut is just as important as the hair you do cut
What inspired you to become a hairstylist?
When I was in college, I discovered a hair salon that inspired me to consider a career as a hairstylist. Through that salon, I realized that doing hair was both creative and technical, which changed my perception of the career entirely. I went to cosmetology school and started at that very same salon once I completed my training.
Tell us about your education and professional experience.
I’ve been a hairstylist for 11 years. During that time, I’ve received education from Bumble and Bumble, Vidal Sassoon, and Wella.
