Join us at VAIN Ballard on Saturday December 19 from 4-8pm for Luminaries in Ballard – an evening with hay rides through luminary-lined streets. Stroll the neighborhood, listen to carolers, and enjoy holiday treats at VAIN and other select merchant locations. We will also have wonderful handmade items by 3 local artists and lots of of other great holiday gifts.

Using recycled bicycle chain rings Erica Gordon of Steel Toe Studio makes fabulous hand forged belt buckles and bottle openers. Also handmade belts in leather or recycled bicycle inner tubes are available.

Incorporating upcycled vintage jewelry components, Krissy Maier of Orangebox Jewelry, creates eco-friendly yet very fashionable jewelry.

We will also have wonderful Victorian inspired silver jewelry by Mary Powers who uses beautiful vintage buttons and thimbles in her work.

In the spirit of community, VAIN is collecting donations to help the efforts of The Orion Center, a multi-service facility under the YouthCare agency, to support young people in Seattle. The Orion Center provides many services for homeless and in-need youth including technical education and skills training, meals, and medical counseling.
On December 17th, the center is hosting a holiday party and VAIN is going to provide gift bags for the 60-70 attendees. Gifts will include essentials such as hats, gloves, hand sanitizer, and shampoo. Our goal is to raise at least $300 by the end of next week to make it happen. You will find donation jars at the front desk at our Downtown and Ballard location for your giving spirit - please stop by and help us support a great cause!
Learn more about the Orion Center at the YouthCare website, and see what other items are on their donation wishlist. Let’s get inspired and start giving!
xo,
VAIN
We are accepting donations through this week at VAIN Downtown - 2018 1st Ave, Seattle and VAIN Ballard - 5401 Ballard Ave NW.

VAIN stylist Emmett has been getting rave reviews from clients about his Keratin Complex treatment. Long time VAIN client Caryn, who was in town last Summer, shared her recent experience with us:
Emmett works his magic with Keratin Smoothing complex
“Emmett performed the Keratin hair straightening for me early this summer. He was UNBELIEVABLY thorough, painstaking, and patient. On top of that he also managed to work quickly, but at no point did I feel he was rushing or trying to get it over with. I can safely say that not one strand of hair on my head was neglected.

On top: Before; On bottom: The Smooth After
“The results were fabulous - I did not have to blow dry my hair for almost four months (washing it almost every day) and my hair was as straight as I’d ever dreamed of it being. It was also beautifully conditioned (a promise Emmett made that I thought I didn’t care about, but was so happy with later). The procedure is worth every penny - I will be getting this done every summer from now on!”
Wonderful, silky results are waiting for those of you seeking smoother or straighter hair with Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy - Call VAIN to book your free consultation today!
To book an appointment with Emmett or one of our other stylists for Keratin Complex treatment call us Downtown 206-441-3441 or in Ballard 206-706-2707.
