Longtime VAIN client Ariel Meadow Stallings, powerhouse publisher of OffbeatBride.com + OffbeatMama.com (Offbeat Home coming soon!), has rocked her signature dipped-in-pink look for a while, but on a recent visit to VAIN took things to the next level with more color, more layers + a cool striped piece.
Client: Ariel Meadow Stallings, Offbeat Empress
Stylist: Senior VAIN stylist Jenny Slay
The Look: Offbeat awesome
Jenny says: “Her hair was almost to her waist and all one length. We did some disconnected layers and then did all the ends pink to kind of create a sexy unicorn kind of thing, then the striped piece. I love the stripes because they have kind of a feather-like effect depending on where your hair lies and how wide you make them.”
Ariel says: “My hair belongs to Jenny Slay.”
We’re glad it does, Ariel! Lookin’ good.

Is the striped piece weave or is it dyed?
Hi! It’s dyed. Here’s another example of Jenny Slay’s striped work: http://www.vain.com/blog/2008/05/19/hot-hair-double-sided-cool/
I was wondering the same thing, whether it was a weave or not?!. It looks great though! <3 it
