This Saturday, October 10th, VAIN Ballard will reveal works of art by featured jeweler Ernalee Thonn. Her elegant and sophisticated statement pieces will be unveiled with an opening reception from 6-9 as part of the Ballard Art Walk.

Ernalee, in her own words: “I have a lifelong love and interest in art and good design, and have worked in many mediums. For the past 12 years, I have been designing and creating jewelry. I have always been fascinated with the interplay of color and with contrasts: rough and smooth, gentle and bold, dull and shiny. My love for the Japanese aesthetic is reflected in much of my work- the raw look of nayural surfaces, contrasts in texture, simple sculptural forms and the innate beauty of each stone, no matter how humble.”

“My pieces are both organic and elegant. I use a variety of semi-precious stones (turquoises, jade, quartz), silvers, and elements of a more organic nature, such as coral, pearls, amber, lava rock, wood, nuts and bone, as well as found and man-made objects (vintage beads, resin, hishi beads made from recycled phonograph records, and recycled glass).”
Join us this Saturday for art, drinks and food as well as a special musical performance at 7pm by Mal De Mar! 5401 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle
