VAIN’s all about making strong statements with your hair, so it should come as no surprise that we hope you do the same with your vote this November (Barack-a-licious brownies, anyone?). Here are some quick links for new voters, repeat voters, and anyone who’s got a little community organizer in them.
For Washington voters:
- WA State Voter Registration- online, super easy. Register online by October 4 if you want to vote in the November 4 Presidential/General election!
- Change of address for registered voters in WA- if you’ve moved within the same county since you last voted.
If you live in King County and you miss the October 4 online registration deadline or have questions about your registration in general, call 206-296-VOTE (8683).
For everyone:
- Rock the Vote- register, rock, take action.
- MoveOn.org- supporting progressive political candidates. Easy voter registration, tons of info about getting involved. Hot Obama t-shirts, too.
- Factcheck.org- Maverick messaging got you confused? Does Alaska really supply 20% of the nation’s energy? A non-partisan look at the truth behind political ads + myths.
So there you have it. From the salon chair to the ballot box this election season, VAIN’s got you covered. So go out + get that hot hair of yours seen, and make your voice heard!
Check back here to learn how you can get involved with VAIN to make a difference this November. We’re going to make it big… and make it blue.
